FUEL POLICY

SAME TO SAME. Please return the same fuel level as taken.  

CROSS-BORDER RESTRICTIONS

The vehicles must remain on the Island of Jamaica.

TOLL POLICY

Toll pass not included in the price. Please pay cash for tolls at the toll booth.

What’s Included in Your Rental:

• Unlimited mileage


• One additional driver at no extra charge


• Airport surcharge


• Applicable taxes

Deposit & Payment Information

Accepted Payment for Deposits:
Only credit cards are accepted. Debit cards and cash are not permitted for deposit purposes. 

Deposit Amount:
A refundable security deposit ranging from USD 500 to USD 1000 (based on the selected vehicle category) will be held on your credit card at the time of pick-up.

Authorization Hold:
The deposit amount will be temporarily blocked on your credit card and will not be available for use during the rental period.

Release of Funds:
Once the vehicle is returned and the following conditions are met:

• Full refueling of the vehicle


• Return to the correct location, on time and date as agreed


• No damage or loss beyond what is stated in the rental agreement

…the deposit hold will be released.

Please Note: Although the release is processed immediately by the rental company, your bank may take a few business days to make the funds available in your account.

After hours Pick up

After hours pick up is available from 8 pm-10 pm for an additional cost of $50.00 USD. A 24-hour notice is required to 

set this up and to make sure an agent is assigned to serve you.

After hours Drop Off

After hours drop off is available from 5 Am to 8 Am & 8 pm-11 pm for an additional cost of $50.00 USD. A 24-hour notice is required to 

set this up and to make sure an agent is assigned to serve you.

Vehicle Delivery

Vehicle delivery might be available to Trelawny office/hotel for an additional $30 USD. Please speak to the branch directly

to make arrangements.

Insurance Information

What’s Not Included in Your Rental Fee:

• Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI)


• Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)


• Theft Waiver (THW)


• Third Party Liability (TPL)

Important Insurance Notes:

• All insurance documentation must clearly state that coverage is valid within Jamaica.


• If relying on credit card insurance, a Letter of Coverage from the issuing credit card company is required at pick-up.

Required Coverage:

• Third Party Liability (TPL): Minimum coverage of USD 40,000


• Collision Damage Waiver (CDW): Minimum of USD 40,000 in coverage

If you choose to use your personal or credit card insurance, ensure:

• A valid coverage letter is presented


• Coverage extends for at least 30 days beyond your rental period

In Case of an Accident:
You must provide:

• An official Police Report


• The Car Rental Company’s Accident Report

Damage Charges & Claims:

• Esteem Car Rental Limited will charge your credit card for the cost of damage up to the deductible.


• It is your responsibility to file a reimbursement claim with your insurance provider.

Mandatory Insurance Purchase at Rental Counter

If your insurance doesn’t meet the specified requirements or is from an unapproved provider, you’ll need to purchase coverage from us at the rental desk:

• Collision Damage Waiver (CDW): USD 10/day


• Third Party Liability (TPL): Included in the rental price

Important: If the renter is involved in an incident while:

• Under the influence of alcohol or drugs


• Using illegal substances


• Found impaired by cannabis or alcohol (confirmed by police reports)

Liability could extend up to USD 3,500.

Responsibility for Vehicle Loss or Damage

Regardless of who is at fault, if the vehicle is lost, stolen, or damaged during the rental period, the renter is liable for all related costs and must reimburse the rental company in full.
