SHUTTLE INSTRUCTIONS

Collect your bag and take Exit 9 from the lower level near baggage claim and proceed to the Airport Rental Car Shuttle, ask to drop you off at the facility rental car. Once you reach the rental car facility give us a call at 504-500-1880 and we will pick you up from the designated waiting area at the rental car center. Our driver will bring you to our office located at 1900 Airline Dr, Kenner. If you have any questions feel free to reach out! Thank you and see you soon.

 

DEPOSIT RULES 

NOLA Rent-a-Car requires a minimum security deposit of $250 for non residents and for local renters is going to be $500 security deposit payable via credit card for all car rentals. 

DRIVERS LICENSE 

Renter must present a valid driver license at the time of rental. Foreign renters must present a valid driver licensand a valid passport and based on the date of the entry stamp, will be allowed to rent a vehicle for up to 28 days present at time of rental.

AFTER HOURS

Key drop is available at the drop box located next to the office door for those returning their vehicle outside of normal business hours. Renters wishing to receive a rental car outside of business hours, must make their reservation by phone and supply copies of their driver`s license, necessary insurance coverages, and payment. 

AGE 

Renters and additional drivers must be 25 years of age. Renters and additional drivers 21-24 years of age are subject to 19.99 per/day surcharge. The maximum age to rent is 74 years. Asenior driver fee of $19.99 applies to drivers over the age of 74 years.

ADDITIONAL DRIVER 

Renter could ask for additional driver providing the valid driver license, and the cost it will be $9.99 per day 

 

CALL CENTER RESERVATIONS 

Cancellation fees apply for prepaid reservations made through the call center. No refunds or credits given for unused rental days. Provided that the call center prepaid reservation is cancelled 24 hours or more prior to pick up time, a 7.5% of the total transaction fee will be assessed. If the reservation is not cancelled 24 hours or more prior to the pickup date and the rental vehicle is not picked up on the arrival date listed on the confirmation email, the entire prepaid amount will be forfeited. Cancellation requests must be submitted electronically by emailing the request to info@nolarentacar.com  or calling 504-500-1880. 

CDW 

L.D.W (Loss Damage Waiver) is an optional product. It is a waiver of HOBBY Rent-a-Car right to collect from the Renter for damages caused to the rental vehicle over the deductible amount. Deductible varies by vehicle. L.D.W. charges are: $25.00 per day. All Waivers will be void if the terms of the rental agreement are violated. All of the products or waivers listed will become null and void in the event of negligence while driving or while in possession of the rental vehicle such as driving the vehicle across beaches, rivers, etc, or driving under the influence of liquor, drugs or any other substance that could impair the driver’s ability to operate the vehicle. Other negligent acts include, but are not limited to, leaving the keys in the ignition with the vehicle unattended, falling asleep while driving, ignoring traffic signals or police officers.

 

CANCELLATION 

Cancellations within 48 hours of scheduled pickup are subject to one day`s rental fee or $35, whichever is higher. 

 

CLEANING 

Customers who return the car excessively filthy may be charged a fee of $150 or more based on management`s judgement. Excessively filthy may include, but is not limited to: excessive trash, uneaten food, or anything thatMresults in a foul smell within the vehicle, etc. 

 

DEBIT CARDS 

Debit cards ARE accepted by NOLA Rent-a-Car with the following stipulations: Renters wishing to use their debit carto satisfy the security deposit MUST provide proof of FULL insurance coverage, and will be subject to a securitdeposit of $500 rather than the standard $250. Customers who arrive for their reservation wishing to use their debcard yet have an insufficient balance to satisfy the deposit, will not be provided a vehicle and will be subject to oneday`s rental fee. 

 

GAS 

All vehicles must be returned with a full tank of gas to avoid being assessed a charge of $6/gal.

INSURANCE 

Customers must provide proof of liability insurance coverage. Renters with a Texas driver’s license must provid proof of FULL insurance coverage. Please have your automotive insurance declaration page ready and available pickup. 

LOCAL RENTERS 

LOUISIANA OR MISSISSIPPI LICENSED DRIVERS: See the insurance and debit card sections. Rates advertised thru internet and GDS commerce reservation channels are for airline arriving passengers only. Local renters with valid driver’s license wbe given 150 free miles per day and additional mileage at a rate of $0.60/extra mile. Unlimited miles is available $14.99/day. HOBBY Rent-a- Car reserves the right to refuse service or to honor a reservation booked thru an interneor gds channel that is not an airline arriving passenger.

NO-SHOWS 

No-shows will be assessed one day`s rental fee, or $35, whichever is higher. Renters will be considered no-shows

2 hours after their stated time of pick-up. 

 

PAYMENT 

Prepaid or secured cards will NOT be accepted as payment for any charge relevant to the rental. 

 

REFUNDS-EARLY RETURNS 

Early returns on rentals reserved thru internet or GDS channels are non-refundable regardless of inclimate weather, rental vehicle accidents that occur during the rental, length of stay changes, family or pet illnesses that may arise,or changes to business schedule. 

 

RESERVATION HOLD TIME 

Your reservation will be held for 2 hours past the stated time of pick-up. After this point, your reservation may be cancelled based on availability. Customers whose reservations are cancelled for being late and who failed to call and update the staff at 504-500-1880  will be charged 1 day`s rental fee. 

 

RULES 

All rates and reservations listed for NOLA Rent-a-Car car rental are reserved for airline arriving passengers only. Posted rates do not apply to residents with a LOUISIANA OR Mississippi driver’s license. Unlimited mileage is applicable only in states here for airline arriving passengers. Non airline arriving customers will receive 150 free miles per day and .60 per additional mile. Reservations booked through internet or gds channels are responsible for the total amount reflected on the reservation. Early returns on rentals reserved thru internet or gds channels are non-refundable regardless of inclimate weather, rental vehicle accidents that occur during the rental, length of stay changes, family or pet illnesses that may arise or changes to business schedule. 

 

SMOKING 

All rental vehicles are non-smoking vehicles. Renters who choose to smoke in a rental vehicle will be subject to a $250 fee upon return.
