Calgary Folk Music Festival
This year marks the music festival’s 37th edition. Running July 26-29, the Calgary Folk Music Festival will feature a great collection of both national and international artists including A Tribe Called Red, Alvvays, Passenger, and Wise Atangana.
Roundup Music Fest
Taking place at Shaw Millennium Park as part of the Calgary Stampede, this year’s Roundup Music Fest has a seriously impressive lineup including Train, the Wallflowers, and the Grapes of Wrath.
Oxford Stomp
Also part of the Calgary Stampede, this lineup includes Creedence Clearwater Revival lead singer John Fogerty and Melissa Etheridge. Calgary International Blues Festival This festival, running this year from July 30 to August 5, is now in its 14th edition. Music lovers won’t want to miss acts like BB King’s Blues Band and Jim Byrnes.
Canmore Folk Music Festival
The longest-running folk music festival in Alberta, dating back to 1978, the Canmore Folk Music Festival is a local tradition that has attracted more than 20,000 concertgoers over the last 40 years.
