International Balloon festival taking place from September 26-30, the International Balloon Festival will feature hot air balloons from all around Canada. The main event of this festival is the Night Glow, which has the balloons “glowing” in the High River. There’ll also be chances to meet pilots and a variety of food trucks on site.
Calgary International Film Festival runs from September 19-30, the Calgary International Film Festival is now in its 19th year. The festival shows up to 200 films over 12 days, from shorts and screenings to feature films and in a huge range of genres. There will also be gala events, special presentations, and a “Behind the Screen: series, which allows fans and filmmakers to interact in a unique way.
Calgary Food Fest on September 8, Team Up Calgary will host the Calgary Food Fest. There will be more than 15 food trucks offering a wide variety of cuisines, as well as a market expo, Kidszone, face painting, and more. The festival always donates a large portion of their proceeds to charity, and this year proceeds will be donated to Calgary’s Sunshine Community Services, to benefit women and children in need.
