When the city starts heating up, it’s time to hit some of the beautiful beaches in the Toronto area! While the beaches on the Toronto Islands are beautiful, they’re also crowded. Here are some of our favourite spots just outside of Toronto that let you get out and make for a relatively stress-free day in the sun! BLUFFER’S BEACH A long, sandy beach with incredible swimming at the foot of Scarborough Bluffs, you can also go hiking and biking, along the numerous paths! Work up a sweat and then jump in the water to make the most of the summer. Even better, it’s less than an hour’s drive from downtown Toronto, so you can get out of town and beat the crowds! ROUGE BEACH If you’re looking for beautiful white sand, look no further than the confusingly-named Rouge Beach. Home to more than half of the Greater Toronto Area’s wetlands, this is a favourite spot for fishermen and women, but it’s also great for lounging in the sun and some light swimming MARIE CURTIS PARK BEACH A quiet residential beach in Etobicoke, this family friendly beach has an off-leash dog park and a playground making for a stress free trip to the beach! Make sure to pack some sunscreen, a sun umbrella, and a delicious picnic so you can spend the whole day lounging while the kids play! Looking to get out of town? Consider renting a car for the day or weekend! Zoom Rentals offers a variety of vehicles for different needs, whether you’re going on a day-long date, taking the family out for a trip, or organizing a huge party with all your friends. Have a look at the cars in our fleets and let us know what you’re looking for – we’d be happy to recommend something for your specific needs!
