Zoom Rent A Car is an offsite Vehicle Rental Agency located at 11124 36 St NE UNIT #2010 in Calgary, Alberta.

Driver Licenses and Requirements

Any valid North American or International driver license is accepted (in English). A driver’s license must be physically Present. A digital version of a driver’s license is not acceptable. All non-residents of Canada must carry a valid passport.

Security Deposit

We accept all major credit cards for security deposit (VISA, Mastercard, AMEX, Diners Club). Credit card must match drivers name on the booking. We do not accept debit cards, cash or checks as a valid form of security deposit. Your security deposit may vary from $1000 to $2000 for all standard vehicle rentals. Other vehicle classes will require a $1500 to $2500 security deposit. All Luxury/Exotic car rentals will require a minimum of $5000.00 security. The security deposit amount plus all rental charges must be chargeable at time of rental.

Payment Methods

We accept the following methods of payment:

Debit Card, VISA, Mastercard, AMEX, Diners Club and cash. We do not accept cheques as a valid form of payment.

Pick-Ups and Drop-Offs

We provide a free shuttle service to and from the International Airport during our regular business hours. We also offer a 24 hour key drop off for rental returns at our location. See below to arrange your pick up shuttle upon arrival:

Pickup Directions

After you have retrieved your luggage from the baggage area, please call us at 587-885-8888 for shuttle check in. Proceed to cross the Arrivals roadway and wait at the shuttle pickup area identified as Bus Bay Number 22. This is opposite to door number 6 on the Arrivals level. Once at the shuttle pickup area at Bus Bay Number 22, please notify us directly at 587-885-8888

Mileage Restrictions & Geographic Restrictions

Mileage is limited to 200kms per day with a maximum of 3000 kms if renting for 15 days or more. Any non standard vehicle rental such as Vans, Luxury Cars, Commercial Trucks and buses have kilometer restrictions per category. Contact us for specific details for these vehicle types. Additional charges will apply for out of province or cross border travel and must be approved before rental is taken.

Fuel Policy

Vehicle must be returned at the same level of fuel as when rented to avoid a service charge of $25 plus any cost of fuel.

Out of Province travel or crossing border to USA

If travelling out of province or cross border this must be mentioned at the time of the rental. An additional charge of $20 daily will apply for out of province and $25 daily for USA travel. Zoom receives notification when vehicles cross provincial or territorial boundaries and any non-authorized travel out of province or to the USA will incur a service charge of $500 above and beyond any additional charges.

Zoom Rent A Car Reservations Commitments & Terms

All reserved vehicles will be held for 2 hours beyond your reservation time given at time of booking. If you are late by more than two hours we cannot guarantee you a car. 

Cancellation Policy

All cancellations for non specialty vehicles must be submitted 72 hours prior to pick up time to avoid a full reservation charge. Cancellations submitted 72 hours prior to pickup time will only be charged one day rental for cancellation. All reservations made within 72 hours of rental period are non refundable. Any confirmed reservations for any specialty or Luxury vehicles are non refundable.

Early Returns Policy

Early returns will be accommodated but reservation can not be prorated and no credit for unused time will be given.

Rental Extension / Late Return Policy

We cannot guarantee any requested extension on existing rental and it will be based on availability. Any requests for extensions must be made via phone or email at least 48 hours prior to the original return time. Any extensions if available will be at the current rates and we can not honour discounted rates for extension period.

LDW or CDW insurance Policy

Proof of insurance coverage is mandatory in the province. In order to decline our LDW packages, insurance proof must be presented at the rental counter at the time of pickup. Credit card insurance coverage does not have any 3rd party liability coverage and a mandatory charge will be applicable. You should read your certificate of insurance online to confirm coverage or contact your provider directly before renting or declining any insurance. The only coverage applicable for international drivers, underage drivers and G2 drivers will be: LDW $29.99/day ($2000 deductible).

Reduced Responsibility (LDW) $1000 Deductible: $24.99/day+ taxes

Drivers Choice Minimal Responsibility $500 Deductible: $29.99/day+ taxes

3rd Party Coverage: $10.99/day+ taxes. This charge is applied when your credit card coverage is used for LDW Coverage or your own car insurance is not providing full coverage for Rental Vehicles (Non Owned Auto Rental Coverage)

Mustang $29.99/day ($2000 deductible)

12 Passenger Vans $25.99/day ($1500 deductible)

Luxury Vehicles $50/day ($7500 deductible) or $75/day for ($5000 deductible)

Other Services (Surcharge Applies)

2. Baby Seat: $9.99/day

Age Requirements

1. Minimum Age of 23* for non-specialty standard vehicle rentals.
2. Minimum Age of 25 for Luxury Vehicles and 12 Passenger Vans
3. Age 21+ for Moving Trucks
4. Maximum Age of 75 for all vehicles

*Surcharge of $20/day applied to drivers between 23 and 25.

Additional Drivers

Up to 2 additional drivers are permitted to be added to the rental contract at an additional charge of $9.99/day per additional driver.

**Spouse is also considered as an additional driver.**

Moving Trucks

We are proud to offer moving trucks to our customers. Moving trucks may be requested for daily rentals during weekdays but are rented out in 6 hour blocks on weekends and at the end of each month.

Moving Truck Km

50 free kilometers are included in all weekday moving rentals.

25 free kilometers per 6 hour blocks for weekends and end of month rentals.
